Getting to Know You

What topics do you enjoy speaking on the most?
I really love speaking on personality styles and time management. Those two areas are woven into so many of my talks. And I believe they are two areas that apply to just about everything we do in business and life!

What topic would you love to tackle next?
A fun fact most people don’t know is that I passed all my tests and was a financial advisor for a short period of time. It’s something I’m personally passionate about, so I’ve added two new talks on how to help people with their business and personal finances! It’s all part of business and life design, right?!

How would you describe your speaking style?
In every talk, I explain that I’m a walking conflict in that I love the motivational & emotional aspects of life…but I also need systems & processes. I have to read every page of those dang manuals. But then I cry at the joy of gift-giving. So my speaking style is the same – I’m going to get passionate and emotional, tell some stories, probably share too much, and seek to motivate you. But then I’m going to give you the specific steps on what you need to do with everything we talk about and how to apply it.

What has been your favorite speaking engagement to date?
Such a great question. Can it be a tie? I’d say my first time speaking at Wedding MBA and my last. The first time was the talk Shape-Shifter on personality styles. Myself and the audience had so much fun that session. And it was ranked Top-10 at the conference! But then, in 2024, I finally made it to the big stage with a talk rated Top-10 that attendees were most excited to hear. And boy, did we have some fun with Less Ghosts, More Groupies, and my whole “Ghostbuster” theme!

When heading to a wedding industry conference, I never leave home without my…
Kids’ toys or something of theirs. I always bring something of theirs with me to help keep them close and remind me to always stay young at heart. Sounds cheesy, I know. But true. See, that’s the emotional side of me. The process side of me brings 3 laptops, 2 clickers, and about 27 different adapters…just in case. Oh, and my white Pumas.

Where would you love to speak next?
At the event that whoever is reading this is hosting!
