Who is Meghan Ely?
OFD Consulting owner Meghan Ely combines in-the-trenches event experience with a love of wedding PR to empower her clients to take their businesses to new heights. Her team’s publicity efforts are regularly honored by the Public Relations Society of America, and more recently, Eventex named her one of the most influential Wedding Professionals in the Industry.
A long-time wedding industry speaker and writer, Meghan Ely is a WeddingPro educator with The Knot + WeddingWire. She has spoken at such conferences as The Special Event Show, Signature CEO, RSVP Club, Engage, Wedding MBA, Lend + Gather and the Coterie Retreat, presented by Munaluchi Bride Magazine. You’ll find her at a number of virtual summits, including the Wedding Summit Series, the High End Wedding Summit and Wedding Business CEO Summit. For her own membership, the OFD Collective, Meghan presents two monthly webinars, along with quarterly Q+A’s with members of the media.
She has regularly earned clients press in such outlets at the New York Times, Brides, Martha Stewart Weddings, People, Bridal Guide, Architectural Digest and Style Me Pretty, among many others. She is a longtime contributor to Special Events Magazine and Catersource, as well as regularly contributes to Wedding Planner Magazine.
She launched the Wedding Industry Speakers brand several years ago in an effort to connect conference and education directors with high quality educators. A longtime supported of event industry associations, she is a past national president Wedding Industry Professionals Association and is a member of the Allied Council for the National Society of Black Wedding and Event Professionals. She is also a longtime member of the National Association for Catering and Events, as well as RSVP Club and Emerge Event Collective.
