With 20 years’ experience in the wedding and events industry, she excels in using her intuition and direct approach to connecting with her clients and crafting wedding and event experiences that exceed their expectations. As a Certified Master Wedding Planner, Wendy also teaches and mentors the next generation of wedding planners.
In addition to wedding and event planning, Wendy has built a strong community of business owners, collaborating, sharing advice, and supporting each other’s success. This is what led her to speaking and to start Boss Level Engaged, where she helps bosses get their to-do list organized and gets it done for them!

Getting to Know You
What topics do you enjoy speaking on the most?
I love talking about systems and processes, which is nerd speak for how to make your business work for you! If you can make something a process, it’s reproducible, and you don’t have to be the one to do it! It becomes teachable and something that your team can replicate, making the right decisions the way you want them made.
What topic would you love to tackle next?
The myth of the work/life balance. It doesn’t exist! So what do we do instead? I would love to help those in the events industry learn to make room in their lives for the things they want most and still do a great job and have happy clients.
How would you describe your speaking style?
Interactive, friendly, and personable. Give me an audience I can talk to! I love working through problems and questions on the spot, giving people real actionable steps they can start on immediately.
What has been your favorite speaking engagement to date?
My first time speaking at the Society of Wedding Professionals was actually my most favorite so far. I prepared way too much information, and while I was only supposed to speak for 15 minutes, the audience and I were vibing and having great conversation, so much so that I went over my time, and we only got through about half the presentation. Fortunately, the group invited me back, and we were able to dedicate an entire meeting to walking through the original presentation and Q&A.
When heading to a wedding industry conference, I never leave home without my….
Laptop! I take notes faster when typing, and I love being able to search my notes later and being able to organize them into to-do items straight from my notes. I also prefer to work from my laptop instead of my phone so that I can easily pack it away and enjoy time away from work when it’s the right time.
Where would you love to speak next?
Podcasts! I’m always listening to podcasts, and I’d really enjoy getting to chat with others in my field to share knowledge for all those who are avid podcast listeners!
